Faculty Overview

Faculty of Arts and Sciences was founded in 1997 when Beykent University opened its doors. The main goal of the Faculty is to provide high-level fundamental sciences and vocational education, and endow the students with the necessary skills and formation which will enable them to be successful not only in the sphere of technology and industry but also in every field of social and cultural life.

Students of Faculty of Arts and Sciences may apply for a Double Major or a Minor, and benefit from Erasmus, Farabi and Mevlana student exchange programmes.

Our faculty’s medium of instruction is Turkish. However, medium of instruction at the Departments of Sociology (English), Translation and Interpreting (Russian), Translation and Interpreting (English), and English Language and Literature is English. Our students at the Departments whose medium of instruction is Turkish may attend the optional English Preparatory Programme.
